Radiance – Set 5

Radiance is the fifth major expansion for Riftbound: League of Legends TCG.

The Riftbound journey includes:

  • Origins
  • Spiritforged
  • Unleashed
  • Vendetta
  • Radiance

As Set 5, Radiance closes out Riftbound’s 2026 main expansion schedule before the game moves into its 2027 releases.

The expansion’s central theme is performance.

Own the Stage. The World is Watching.

Radiance is built around champions performing at the peak of their abilities when the pressure is at its highest.

That theme influences everything from the champions selected for the expansion to its new mechanics and premium artwork.

180 Cards to Collect

Radiance features a 180-card main set.

The expansion introduces new:

  • Legends
  • Units
  • Spells
  • Gear
  • Battlefields
  • Strategies
  • Mechanics
  • Deck-building possibilities

These cards are fully integrated with the wider Riftbound card pool, allowing players to combine Radiance cards with cards from previous expansions.

The 180-card main set is complemented by 66 Showcase cards, substantially expanding the collecting experience beyond the standard versions. Riftbound

66 Showcase Cards

Radiance contains 66 Showcase cards.

Showcase cards provide premium collectible versions of cards from throughout the expansion, placing greater emphasis on League of Legends artwork and character presentation.

For collectors, these premium versions provide one of the biggest chase categories within Radiance.

With 66 Showcase cards available, the premium checklist extends well beyond the standard 180-card set. Riftbound

New Legends Enter Riftbound

Radiance introduces nine new Legends.

Confirmed Legends include:

  • Seraphine
  • Ekko
  • Evelynn
  • Ziggs
  • Jarvan IV

These champions bring completely new build-around possibilities to Riftbound and expand the range of League of Legends characters available as Legends.

Four additional Legends complete the nine-Legend Radiance lineup. Riftbound

Seraphine

Seraphine is one of the headline champions of Radiance.

Few League of Legends champions fit the performance-focused theme of the expansion as naturally as the Starry-Eyed Songstress.

Music, performance and connecting with an audience are fundamental parts of Seraphine’s identity, making her an ideal champion to represent a set built around stepping into the spotlight.

For Seraphine collectors, Radiance introduces an entirely new range of cards and premium treatments to pursue.

Ekko

Ekko also plays a major role in Radiance.

The Boy Who Shattered Time brings his distinctive Zaun identity into the fifth Riftbound expansion.

Ekko has become one of League of Legends’ most recognisable champions, with major appearances throughout the wider Runeterra universe.

Radiance gives Ekko fans another opportunity to collect and play the champion within Riftbound.

Evelynn

Evelynn provides a much darker interpretation of the performance theme.

Her seductive and dangerous personality contrasts sharply with Seraphine’s colourful stage presence, creating two very different interpretations of what it means to command attention.

The contrast between the two champions is also central to the Radiance Showdown Deck product, which directly pits Seraphine against Evelynn.

Ziggs

Ziggs brings explosive energy to Radiance.

The chaotic Yordle is another of the new Legends joining Riftbound in Set 5.

His unpredictable personality and love of destruction provide a very different playstyle and visual identity from the other headline champions.

For Ziggs fans, Radiance marks another major opportunity to build around the champion within Riftbound.

Jarvan IV

Jarvan IV represents Demacia within the new Legend lineup.

His addition expands the number of iconic Demacian champions available to Riftbound players and connects with Radiance’s new Gear interactions.

Players interested in battlefield control and Gear-focused strategies will find new possibilities throughout the Radiance card pool.

Three New Mechanics

Radiance introduces three major mechanics that expand Riftbound gameplay:

  • Deploy
  • Show Off
  • Disarm

Each mechanic reinforces the expansion’s emphasis on performing under pressure and making important decisions at exactly the right moment.

Deploy

Deploy creates new interactions between Gear and Battlefields.

Gear with Deploy can be played directly to a Battlefield, allowing its controller to benefit from the Gear while fighting for control of that location.

However, there is an important risk.

If an opponent takes control of that Battlefield, the deployed Gear is killed.

This creates an additional strategic decision when playing Gear.

Placing powerful Gear onto an important Battlefield can provide an advantage, but committing it also gives your opponent another reason to fight for that location.

Show Off

Radiance is about performing when everyone is watching, and Show Off turns that theme into a gameplay mechanic.

Show Off allows players to reveal qualifying cards from their hand or board to unlock additional effects.

This creates interesting deck-building decisions because players can construct their deck around cards capable of satisfying particular Show Off conditions.

It can also reveal valuable information to an opponent, making the timing of a Show Off effect another strategic consideration.

Disarm

Disarm provides a new combat-focused mechanic.

Rather than increasing the strength of your own Unit, Disarm reduces the Might of an opposing Unit when attacking.

This can change the outcome of battles by weakening an enemy before combat is resolved.

Multiple instances of Disarm can further increase the amount of Might removed, opening the door to strategies focused on controlling the strength of opposing Units.

Gear & Equipment Strategies

Radiance continues expanding the role of Gear within Riftbound.

New interactions allow Equipment to become Units, creating unusual situations where cards can change their role during a game.

This gives players another direction for Gear-focused deck building while creating new interactions with the Deploy mechanic.

Radiance therefore doesn't simply introduce new cards—it expands what existing card types are capable of doing.

Alternate-Art Runes

Even Riftbound’s resource cards receive attention in Radiance.

The expansion introduces alternate-art Runes inspired by its performance and musical themes.

Runes are a fundamental part of Riftbound deck construction, so alternate versions allow players to customise the visual appearance of their decks beyond Champions and Units.

For collectors building fully themed decks, alternate-art Runes provide another category of Radiance cards to pursue.

A New Ultimate Rare

Radiance introduces a new Ultimate Rare.

Ultimate Rare represents one of Riftbound’s highest-end collectible card treatments and provides an exceptionally difficult chase within the expansion.

Riot confirmed that Radiance contains a new Ultimate Rare as part of Set 5. Riftbound

The Ultimate Rare is randomly inserted and is not guaranteed within an individual booster pack, Booster Box or case.

Two Foil Rares or Better in Every Pack

Every Radiance Booster Pack contains:

2 × Foil Rare or Better cards

These dedicated slots provide two opportunities within every booster to discover higher-rarity cards.

Depending on the cards opened, these slots can provide important pieces for deck building or additions to a Riftbound collection.

Additional Foil Card

Every pack also includes:

1 × Additional Foil Card of Any Rarity

Together with the two foil Rare-or-better slots, that means every Radiance Booster contains at least three foil cards as part of its standard pack configuration. Riot Games Store

This makes even a single Radiance Booster Pack a premium opening experience.

Designed for Deck Building

Radiance expands the wider Riftbound card pool rather than functioning as a standalone game.

Cards opened from Radiance can be combined with cards from earlier expansions, allowing players to:

  • Build around new Legends
  • Upgrade existing decks
  • Experiment with Deploy
  • Build around Show Off
  • Incorporate Disarm effects
  • Develop new Gear strategies
  • Add new Units and Spells
  • Explore new champion combinations
  • Customise decks with premium cards

This makes individual Radiance boosters useful for both established players and newer collectors beginning to expand their Riftbound collection.

Built for Multiple Ways to Play

Riftbound was designed to support multiple game formats.

Players can battle in traditional 1v1 matches or explore multiplayer formats and shifting alliances. Riot specifically describes Radiance as designed for both 1v1 showdowns and multiplayer play. Riot Games Store

That flexibility allows the same collection of cards to support competitive games, casual matches and larger multiplayer sessions.

League of Legends as a Physical TCG

Riftbound brings the champions and world of League of Legends into a physical trading card game.

Players can build decks around familiar champions while exploring Runeterra through physical cards, original artwork and strategic tabletop gameplay.

Radiance continues expanding that experience with another selection of champions drawn from across the League universe.

For League of Legends fans, opening a booster isn't simply about finding powerful cards—it also provides an opportunity to collect physical versions of favourite champions and artwork.

One Pack at a Time

An individual Radiance Booster Pack is an easy way to experience Set 5 without purchasing an entire Booster Box.

Each pack provides:

14 cards

including:

7 Commons
3 Uncommons
2 foil Rares or better
1 additional foil
1 token slot

That makes individual packs ideal for casual openings, adding a few cards to an existing collection or chasing another premium card from Radiance.
