📅 Release Date

16 September 2026

Pokémon TCG: 30th Celebration launched simultaneously worldwide on 16 September 2026, marking the franchise's 30th Anniversary.

Unlike conventional expansions, 30th Celebration is a special set distributed through dedicated collection products, Elite Trainer Boxes and other anniversary releases rather than traditional 36-pack Booster Boxes.

Individual packs sold separately are sourced from these officially released sealed products.

What's Inside a 30th Celebration Booster Pack?

Each factory-sealed English Pokémon TCG: 30th Celebration Booster Pack contains:

• 5 × Foil Pokémon TCG Cards

• 1 × Guaranteed Pikachu Rare featuring one of 30 unique illustrations, included among the five foil cards

• 1 × Foil Basic Energy Card

• 1 × Pokémon TCG Live Code Card

Every Pokémon card in the pack features a foil treatment, creating a special anniversary opening experience.

Specific cards, Pikachu illustrations and premium rarities are randomly distributed and are not guaranteed beyond the advertised pack contents.

30 Unique Pikachu Cards to Collect

One of the defining features of the 30th Celebration expansion is its dedicated Pikachu collection.

Every booster pack contains one Pikachu Rare card selected from 30 unique illustrations.

Each Pikachu card features artwork created by a different artist, celebrating the character's enduring popularity throughout Pokémon's history.

With 30 designs available, the collection creates a special anniversary challenge for dedicated Pikachu fans.

Every pack provides an opportunity to discover another Pikachu illustration, although duplicate designs are possible.

Pikachu – Celebrating 30 Years of Pokémon

Since its debut in Generation I, Pikachu has become the most recognisable mascot of the Pokémon franchise.

From the original video games and animated series to the Pokémon Trading Card Game, Pikachu has appeared throughout nearly every major era of Pokémon.

The 30th Celebration expansion recognises this legacy by dedicating an entire 30-card illustration collection to Pikachu.

For collectors, the different artistic interpretations offer a unique way to celebrate Pokémon's history through the character that has represented the franchise for three decades.

Every Card Is Foil

Unlike standard Pokémon TCG booster packs, 30th Celebration features an entirely foil card lineup.

Each booster contains five foil Pokémon cards and one foil Basic Energy card.

This means every pack provides six foil cards, giving the expansion a distinctive appearance and opening experience.

The foil treatment is a standard feature of the set rather than an indication that every card is a higher-rarity pull.

A 199-Card Anniversary Collection

The English 30th Celebration expansion contains 199 cards across its different collecting categories.

The collection includes:

The main set includes the 30 unique Pikachu Rare illustrations, while the additional categories introduce premium artwork and cards celebrating Pokémon TCG history.

This gives collectors several different collecting goals, from completing the main set to searching for secret rares and nostalgic Classic Collection cards.

Introducing Futuristic Rare Cards

30th Celebration introduces a new premium rarity known as Futuristic Rare.

This special card treatment features striking artwork by Japanese artist YOSHIROTTEN, whose distinctive visual style brings a futuristic interpretation to some of Pokémon's most recognisable characters.

The expansion features Futuristic Rare cards depicting:

• Mew ex

• Mewtwo ex

These cards represent the future-facing side of Pokémon's anniversary celebration, combining iconic Generation I Pokémon with contemporary artistic design.

Mew ex

Mew is one of Pokémon's most mysterious and beloved Mythical Pokémon.

Originally introduced in Generation I, Mew has remained an important part of Pokémon history thanks to its connection to Mewtwo and its extraordinary genetic abilities.

In 30th Celebration, Mew ex receives a Futuristic Rare treatment illustrated by YOSHIROTTEN.

The card combines one of the franchise's earliest Mythical Pokémon with a modern artistic approach, making it a major highlight of the anniversary collection.

Mewtwo ex

Mewtwo is another major Pokémon featured in the 30th Celebration expansion.

As one of the original Legendary Pokémon, Mewtwo has appeared throughout numerous generations of Pokémon games, animation and trading cards.

Its Futuristic Rare version provides a striking new interpretation of the iconic Psychic-type Pokémon.

For collectors who specialise in Mewtwo cards, this premium treatment adds another distinctive release to the character's extensive Pokémon TCG history.

Umbreon ex

Umbreon ex is another popular Pokémon featured in the anniversary expansion.

As one of Eevee's most recognisable Evolutions, Umbreon has become a major collecting character within the Pokémon TCG.

Its distinctive black-and-yellow design has appeared across numerous popular expansions, making new Umbreon cards particularly appealing to dedicated Eeveelution collectors.

The 30th Celebration release provides another opportunity to collect Umbreon within a special anniversary set.

Greninja ex

Greninja ex brings one of the most popular Pokémon from the Kalos region into the 30th Anniversary celebration.

First introduced in Pokémon X and Pokémon Y, Greninja quickly became a fan favourite thanks to its ninja-inspired design and appearances throughout Pokémon animation and games.

Its inclusion helps connect the anniversary collection with more recent generations of Pokémon.

Salamence ex

Salamence ex represents another recognisable Pokémon within the 30th Celebration card lineup.

The powerful Dragon-type Pokémon first appeared in Generation III and has remained a popular character across multiple Pokémon TCG eras.

Its appearance in the anniversary set adds another fan-favourite Pokémon to the collection.

Classic Collection – A Tribute to Pokémon TCG History

The 30th Celebration expansion also revisits iconic cards from previous generations through its Classic Collection.

The Classic Collection features 30 memorable Pokémon cards from across the game's history, presented with special anniversary treatments.

These cards celebrate the evolution of the Pokémon Trading Card Game, from its earliest releases through to later generations.

For long-time collectors, the Classic Collection provides a nostalgic connection to cards that helped define different eras of Pokémon collecting.

Classic Collection cards are special collectibles and are not legal for standard tournament play unless a separately legal version of the card exists.

Illustration Rare Cards

Illustration Rare cards have become one of the most popular collecting categories within the modern Pokémon TCG.

Rather than presenting Pokémon against conventional battle backgrounds, these cards feature extended illustrations that explore the personality, environment and story of the Pokémon.

30th Celebration continues this artistic approach with new Illustration Rare cards created for the anniversary expansion.

For collectors who enjoy Pokémon artwork, these cards provide another category to discover beyond the standard card lineup.

Special Illustration Rare Cards

Special Illustration Rare cards provide premium artwork treatments for selected Pokémon and other featured cards.

These cards are among the major modern collecting categories within the Pokémon TCG, combining distinctive illustrations with higher-rarity treatments.

The 30th Celebration expansion includes Special Illustration Rare cards alongside its other premium anniversary releases.

Pokémon Through the Generations

One of the most appealing aspects of 30th Celebration is its ability to bring together Pokémon from different generations.

The franchise has grown from the original 151 Pokémon into an enormous world of creatures, characters and regions.

The anniversary expansion celebrates this history through a mixture of:

• Original Generation I Pokémon

• Later-generation favourites

• Legendary and Mythical Pokémon

• Pokémon ex

• Pikachu anniversary illustrations

• Nostalgic Classic Collection cards

• Modern Illustration Rares

• Futuristic Rare artwork

This gives the set a broader identity than a traditional expansion focused on a single region or generation.

A Special All-Foil Booster Experience

Each 30th Celebration pack provides a different opening experience from a regular Pokémon booster.

Instead of the usual mixture of non-foil and foil cards, every Pokémon card in the pack is foil.

Each pack also contains a guaranteed Pikachu Rare, creating a consistent anniversary feature throughout the expansion.

For collectors opening multiple packs, this provides an opportunity to gradually build the 30-card Pikachu illustration collection while searching for other cards from the set.

A Special Set Without Traditional Booster Boxes

• Elite Trainer Boxes

• Pokémon Center Exclusive Elite Trainer Boxes

• Ultra-Premium Collections
