GRADING SUBMISSION TERMS & CONDITIONS
GENERAL
These Grading Submission Terms apply to all grading services provided by:
Pristine Asset Partners Pty Ltd trading as PokeBox Australia ("PokeBox", "we", "us", "our")
By submitting items for grading through PokeBox, you agree to these Terms.
PokeBox acts as an intermediary between you and third-party grading companies, including but not limited to Professional Sports Authenticator.
ROLE OF POKEBOX
- PokeBox facilitates submission, handling, and return of items
- We do not perform grading services
- All grading decisions are made solely by the grading company
PokeBox is not responsible for grading outcomes, including grades assigned, authentication results, or value assessments.
SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS
You agree that:
- All items submitted are authentic and legally owned
- Items are accurately declared, including declared value
- Cards are securely packaged when provided to us
We reserve the right to refuse any submission at our discretion.
DECLARED VALUE (IMPORTANT)
You must provide an accurate declared value for each item submitted.
The declared value is used for:
- Insurance coverage
- Shipping protection
- Grading tier determination
You acknowledge that:
- If the declared value is inaccurate or understated, insurance claims may be reduced or denied
- PokeBox is not responsible for losses resulting from incorrect declared values
CONDITION & PRE-EXISTING DAMAGE
PokeBox is not responsible for:
- Pre-existing damage
- Hidden defects
- Undisclosed alterations
Cards may undergo handling during processing, shipping, and grading.
GRADING OUTCOMES
You acknowledge:
- Grading is subjective
- Results may vary
- No grade is guaranteed
No refunds will be issued based on grading outcomes.
TURNAROUND TIMES
All turnaround times:
- Are estimates only
- Are controlled by the grading company
PokeBox is not liable for delays outside of our control.
UPCHARGES
Grading companies may apply upcharges where:
- Declared value is lower than assessed value
- Card falls into a higher pricing tier
You agree:
- Upcharges must be paid before collection or shipping
- PokeBox may hold items until paid
PAYMENT & FEES
- Submission fees are payable upfront
- Fees are non-refundable once submitted
Additional costs may include:
- Shipping
- Insurance
- Upcharges
INSURANCE & SHIPPING
All submissions sent by PokeBox are insured up to the declared value provided at submission.
Important:
- Insurance is based on replacement value, up to the declared amount
- Insurance payouts are subject to the carrier’s or insurer’s assessment
- If the declared value is inaccurate, the full amount may not be recoverable
Optional additional insurance may be available upon request.
RISK & LIABILITY
Risk Transfer
- Risk remains with the customer until items are received by PokeBox
- Risk transfers to the grading company once submitted
- Risk returns to the customer once items are shipped or collected
Loss or Damage
While PokeBox takes reasonable care:
- We are not liable for loss or damage occurring with third-party grading companies or carriers
- Claims must be made through the relevant insurer or carrier
- PokeBox will assist in the claims process where possible
DECLARED VALUE LIABILITY CAP
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
Any liability of PokeBox (if applicable) is strictly limited to the declared value of the item as provided at the time of submission.
You acknowledge that:
- The declared value represents the maximum potential compensation
- No additional compensation will be provided beyond this amount
RETURN OF GRADED ITEMS
Once grading is complete:
- Customers will be notified
- Items can be collected or shipped
Shipping is subject to our Shipping Policy.
UNCLAIMED ITEMS
Items not collected within 30 days may:
- Incur storage fees, or
- Be returned at the customer’s expense
FRAUD & MISREPRESENTATION
We reserve the right to:
- Refuse submissions
- Withhold items
- Report suspected fraud
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- PokeBox is not liable for grading outcomes, delays, or third-party actions
- Liability is limited in accordance with the declared value clause above
Nothing in these Terms excludes your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
By submitting items, you acknowledge that you:
- Understand the risks involved
- Accept third-party control over grading
- Agree to declared value limitations
- Agree to all terms outlined above
